Our service

The core of our service: communication

Here at Ctrl O, we are passionate about an efficient, personal service. Where possible, we have meetings in real life, and collaboration with our clients is a really important part of what we do– whether it’s configuring a system to just how they need it, or making fast updates and changes when they ring us up.

Our CEO and COO Andy Beverley and John Hayden met in the Royal Navy, and both used software which took months or even years to get updates on. They wanted to do something different at Ctrl O, where they could respond quickly to any requests. Our team are on hand to deal with any queries or problems 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can ring us up without going through lots of automated options, and we’re always on hand to talk things through.

Bespoke configuration of each system

LinkSpace is off-the-shelf software, that’s configured to suit the exact workflows required. John and the team work with clients to figure out exactly what sort of workflow is required. They’ll pour over existing spreadsheets and documents, and then map out a process for LinkSpace. After checking this through with the client, they will configure LinkSpace to suit the workflow needed, and will then sit down and go through it all with them.

Our clients spend time seeing how everything works for them, and will ask for any changes or tweaks along the way. But this is just the beginning. Once each system is up and running, clients will no doubt think of changes that would help make the system more intuitive. They can ring us up and ask for any tweaks they think of, or even better, John and his team teach clients to configure the system themselves.

As each client and their teams use a new system, any required changes can be made quickly and easily, either by our technical team at Ctrl O, or by their own staff with the right authorisation.

Updates take hours or days to make rather than weeks or years. This means we can be very agile, creating and honing workflow processes that feel completely intuitive, and operate just as you need them to. These are some of the reasons our clients say our software is a “game-changer” for them.

The Ministry of Justice: An example

For one of the workflow systems we built for the Ministry of Justice, our team collaborated with their employees for a month to create the exact workflow design they needed. Since then, one of the team said to us, “we just didn’t know what it could do back then”.

It is in use every day by employees, enabling them to carefully stay within rigorous legal frameworks.

Some questions we often get asked:

How can we find out more?

Just give us a call, or send us an email, and we can arrange an informal chat at a time that suits you. We always like talking to people and finding out what they’re looking for, so don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Can you show us more of LinkSpace?

We can. We have a 10 minute demo we can do that’s simple and accessible, without acronyms or complicated terms.

Can we try a system first?

If after talking on the phone or meeting up, we think that LinkSpace could be a good fit for you, we can offer free trials or a pilot. John and his team would work to understand what was needed and would do a configuration of LinkSpace the would suit you.

Is it easy to get our data in?

It should be, yes. Data can quickly be imported from spreadsheets and other formats. Get in touch with us to ask about your specific system

Is it easy to get our data out if we change our mind?

It is. We will happily get you your data in another format if you so require.

Are we “locked in”?

Absolutely not. One of the reasons that Andy set up Ctrl O is he’d had enough of being locked in to tech systems. The software is open source, you can change it yourself should you wish. And we will give you back your data any time.
